Half case left and that’s all we’ll see this year.
Dogfish Head 120 Min. IPA--Too extreme to be called beer?
Brewed to a colossal 45-degree plato, boiled for a full 2 hours
while being continuously hopped with high-alpha American hops,
then dry-hopped daily in the fermenter for a month & aged for
another month on whole-leaf hops!!! This 120 Minute I.P.A. is by
far the biggest I.P.A. ever brewed! At 20% abv and 120 ibus you
can see why this beer is THE HOLY GRAIL for hopheads!
These were requested many times during our "beer door"
survey. We’ll look to add more. The UP’s first micro-brewery.
(Not to be confused with brewpub).
Keweenaw Pick Axe Blonde Ale--The lightest in their
family of ales, a true single malt. Refreshing to taste,
gorgeous to look at and a great introduction to the
extraordinary world of craft-brewed Michigan beers. This light
golden ale comes with a distinctive malt flavor and just a kiss
of hops.
Keweenaw Red Jacket Amber Ale--Medium bodied and lightly
hopped, this classic Oktoberfest-style ale is brewed in tribute
to the Red Jacket Mine of what is now Calumet and to the glory
days of the copper industry in the Keweenaw Peninsula.
Other new additions. This next one is one of my favorite
stouts.
Furhermore Three Feet Deep--This is their rendition of a
Dry Irish Stout, circa 1890. Deep roasted malt is what makes a
stout a stout, and years ago the fire of the kiln would have
added its distinct smoky flavor during the roasting process.
Three Feet Deep rekindles that lost flavor with a small
addition of peat smoked malt. At 14.4° Plato, this is
not a heavy beer, but you wouldn't know it as the round and
earthy quality of peat fills your senses.
I don’t know how long this will be available, we’ve had it in
stock for a month now. Sorry for the lack of heads-up on this
one.
Tyrenena Dirty Old Man Imperial Rye Porter--Imperial Rye
Porter aged in Rye Whiskey Barrels. Statement of Composition:
40% Malt Beverage aged in Rye Whiskey Barrels. 60% Malt
Beverage. The aroma is of strong rye, with roasty notes of
coffee and chocolate. The taste is mostly of rye, roasted
coffee, and chocolate. The Whiskey barrel added nice oak flavors
and it was nice that the barrel aging didn’t go over the top.
Very nice overall.
Otter Creek White Sail—A Belgian style white beer brewed
with wheat, malted barley, hops and a little bit of coriander
and orange peel. It is mild yet flavorful with fruity undertones
and haze from the yeast and wheat. This ale is delicious on its
own or with and orange slice.
Erdinger Champ-- The ideal lifestyle wheat beer: it's
brewed in such a way that it can be drunk straight from the
bottle, but without compromising Erdinger's legendary flavor and
high quality standards. With its fine yeast, Erdinger Champ has
the character of a classic Bavarian wheat beer. The yeast gives
the beer is natural, slightly cloudy appearance.
Two beers that won gold medal this year in the World Beer Cup
Championships.
Widmer Hefeweisen-- America's Original Hefeweizen. A
golden unfiltered wheat beer that is truly cloudy and clearly
superb. Ever since Widmer introduced Hefeweizen to America in
1986. 1998 and 2006 GABF Gold Medal Award Winner. 2004 Gold
Medal Beer Cup.
Left Hand Milk Stout—Strong roasted malt and coffee
flavors build the foundation of this classic cream stout. The
addition of milk sugar mellows the intense roastiness and gives
this beer the most incredible creamy mouthfeel.
